Please review the meet volunteer and on-going volunteer descriptions below. A call for meet volunteers will be made on a weekly basis. Assigned positions will be posted before each meet. If you are interested in one of the positions please contact Susan McDonald. Meet Volunteer Positions Starter - CNSL trained position. If you are interested in becoming a starter, please see the Starter and Officials Training Schedule listed on our calendar. Clerk of Course - 3 volunteers to distribute swimmers cards before each event. Line-Up Aides - 2 to 3 volunteers to line up swimmers at the starting end of the pool. Concessions Set up - 3 volunteers to help set up the concessions area. Concessions 8 - 9am - 3 volunteers to sell concession items Concessions 9 - 10am - 3 volunteers to sell concession items Concessions 10 - 11am - 3 volunteers to sell concession items Concessions 11am - 12noon / Clean up - 3 volunteers to sell concession items & help breakdown the concessions area Stroke and Turn Officials - CNSL trained position. If you are interested in becoming an official, see the Officials Training Schedule on our calendar. Head Timer - 1 volunteer for back up timing - PROVIDES UNOBSTRUCTED POOL SIDE VIEW!! Timers - 8 timers needed for each meet to pair up with visiting team timers - PROVIDES UNOBSTRUCTED POOL SIDE VIEW!! Sweep Judge/Recorder - 2 volunteers to monitor race finishes - PROVIDES UNOBSTRUCTED POOL SIDE VIEW!! Ribbon Writers - 4 volunteers needed to write race information on ribbons - PROVIDES UNOBSTRUCTED POOL SIDE VIEW!! Runners - 4 volunteers needed to help move swimmer cards around the pool deck Scorers - 2 volunteers needed to help track the score of each event and the total score for the meet Set up - 3 or more volunteers to arrive at the pool early on the morning of the home meets to set up the pool area Clean up - 3 or more volunteers to help clean up the pool area Heat Winners - 2 volunteers to hand out heat winner ribbons for each race Hospitality - 2 volunteers to provide water to the meet volunteers around the pool deck Relay Helpers - 3 to 4 volunteers to assist swimmers in lining up for relay events On-Going Volunteer Positions Concessions Managers/Buyers - 2 volunteer managers and several buyers are needed to help coordinate our concessions stand. This is the main income source for our team. We need managers managers to determine what to sell and buyers to help purchase items. Non perishable items are stored in our team shed at the Kendall Ridge Pool. Pep Rally Coordinators - 1 to 2 volunteers to coordinate the Friday Night Pep Rallys. Work with the Coaches and Team Managers to determine theme, decorations, food, and special give away. You can volunteer for one of the 5 Friday Night Pep Rallys or all of them! Overnight Swim/Fundraising Event - we need many volunteers to help plan and assist during the event which is scheduled for July 7th. The team raises money for a charity determined by the committee. Besides swimming laps, there are craft activities, games, movies, and snacks! Publicity - 1 to 2 volunteers to provide meet information to the local papers. Awards Picnic - 2 volunteers to help coordinate food to be served at the picnic and select a DJ for the event.
